What does “footprint” mean?

0

The footprint is the dimensions on the ground. So, for example, when we say that a home can have a maximum square footage footprint of 3,200, that is the size on the ground. In this instance, the home could have a second story which would make the home much larger. And also, if conditions warrant, the home could also have a basement, making the home larger still. But when we refer to “footprint,” we’re referring to the size on the ground.
