I’m pretty sure it’s normal for parents to avoid talking about sex with their kids. It’s hard/awkward for them to talk about. They don’t really want to talk about it with you, and I understand that (don’t want you to grow up, etc…) I personally wouldn’t want to talk about it with my parents either, it’s just plain uncomfortable, and they might become worried that you’re doing something. Like when I was like 10 I said I would want to name my baby a certain name and my dad was all like that means you’re thinking about HOW you’ll have that baby (haha wth lol). When I was 7, I asked my mom what sex was, and she was vague but she explained it honestly, she didn’t make up some story about it. Here, they teach us about sex education in school (STDs/STIs, pregnancy, contraception, anatomy, puberty, you know biological stuff, not how to have sex or encouraging it), which is where I learned most of my information (some of it prior knowledge).
