The cost will depend on the materials you choose. If you have them built by someone to your specifications, the cost will be higher. Many of the modular units are made of fiber board, and you would buy them and hang them. We personally bought some of the heavier plastic cabinets on sale at a big box store and have been happy with them. The price for the plastic was in the neighborhood of $500 for 5; and the others would have been close to $1000. It just depends how you want to set up your space.
