What does it mean to be a Neo-Conservative Republican?
It generally means someone who has been a liberal and then switched sides. It has come to mean an assertive foreign policy whereby the US ought to democratize other nations the reason being that we are safer. In a more crude interpretation it has come to mean a Jewish conservative who will side with Israel against Arab nations. The last being less accurate, of course. It differs from other strands of conservatism one being that although we cherish liberty we are custodians of our own (John Adams I think said this). It may not be stridently lassez-faire however it is anti-statist.
