What Does it Mean to Have Urge Related Incontinence?
Many of the causes of Urge Incontinence stem from involuntary sphincter and muscle contractions. These contractions usually mean having a problem in a public place when it comes to holding one’s urine. This also occurs in people who acutely suffer from an overactive bladder, known by medical doctors and professionals as Idiopathic Detrusor Overactivity. This infection of the bladder causes inflammation of the bladder muscles and thereby causing severe irritation in and around the bladder area. Urge incontinence may also be referred to as reflex incontinence if and when it results from nerves controlling the bladder when they become overactive. Most involuntary actions of the bladder muscles can happen because of damage to the actual nerves of the bladder, to the nervous system, and finally damage to the muscles themselves.
