An Anesthesiologist is a doctor who administers anesthesia. So the first issue is about becoming a doctor. First you have to take high school biology and chemistry and get excellent grades. You also have to get great grades on your SATs. If you do not have these prerequisite subjects and grades and test scores you will probably not be admitted to the pre-medical program at your college. You may still become a doctor by working your butt off, taking the required courses and getting great college grades. But it is easier to go the pre-med program route. So let’s assume that In college you will take the pre-medical program. This consists of a number of chemnistry and biology courses, including chemical analysis and organic chemistry (the chemistry of life and the carbon molecules), and anatomy and physiology.
