What does it take to get into Oxford University?
Do Canadians have AP exams? UK GCSEs are the rought equivalent to a bit less than a Canadian or US high school diploma. A levels are equivalent to a bit *more* than a high school diploma. To prove that US applicants have the equivalent to A levels, Oxford and other strong UK schools require you to take AP exams. So to apply to Oxford, if you were in the US, you’d need a high school diploma plus at least 3 AP exams, scored 4+, and good SAT scores. I don’t know what the Canadian equivalent to AP exams is, but that’s what you need to target. The alternative is to do an IB diploma, rather than a normal high school diploma, if that’s available at your school. That can be used in place of the AP exams. Oxford, I believe, does list out what they require of applicants from each country, so do check their website.
