What does it take to get into Wharton Business School?
I’m currently a student at Wharton for undergrad. A few of my friends are currently going to good business schools across the country (Stanford, Harvard, etc.). Most of them really weren’t interested in investment banking in high school, so I guess that means high school really does not matter to admission officers. Most of them didn’t have high GPA’s (honors, but not magna) but went to amazing colleges (Harvard and Yale were the most common names). My guess is that the most important things in deciding whether you get in or not is your GMAT score, college, and GPA. Working in a firm over the summer and finding a temporary job on wall street after college will help you. Also, have connections. If there’s one thing you can do in high school, it’s that.
