Christ crucifixion means that because He took on all our sins in the Jordan River when He was baptised by His chosen servant John the Baptist, He could now pay for all these sins with His life instead of us. Jesus was the spotless and sinless Lamb of God who came and took the sins of the world away (John 1:29).
