What does LDW or Loss Damage Waiver mean?
Loss and Damage Waiver is not an insurance. It is an option (although it may be included automatically in certain rates), available in selected countries, which relieves the customer of any responsibility for loss of or damage to the rental vehicle, provided the vehicle is used in accordance with the terms of the rental agreement. Certain types of damage (underbody and overhead damage) will usually be excluded from this option, as may be tires and windscreen / glass damage. The rental counter staff will be happy to give you precise details as to the extent of the cover provided by this option in the country concerned.
