What does morbid mean?
Latin for sick or unhealthy, the term morbid is usually used to refer to a disease that causes disability or poor health. Commonly tacked on to obesity to stress its life hampering effect, morbid can also be used to refer to the incidence rate of a medical condition, this is called the morbidity rate.
