What does “ON HOLD SHELF ” mean in the Library Catalog?
This means the item should be on the hold shelf available for pickup by the first person in the queue. Sometimes items have just been checked in and are not yet on the hold shelf when this message first displays. Other times you may not be first in the request queue. You should wait for the e-mail pick-up notice, or check your Requested items list in My Library Account to make sure that the item is ready for checkout before going to pick up the item.
