What does Palm Beach Cats do to prepare for a hurricane?
Normally there is a stock supply of food for one week to feed the cats; however when we receive a hurricane warning we increase the stock to two weeks supply. We have three paid employees and one veterinarian who live on the island and can respond to the care and feeding after the hurricane passes. Normally, a feral cat can go without food for three days with no adverse effects.
