What does print-ready mean?
Print-Ready is a term we use which means the submitted print file (PDF) meets the following criteria for print: 1. Convert all RGB images into CMYK color. 2. Check if final image has enough resolution (300 dpi minimum at 100% size including bleeds). 3. Check if all text pages have enough bleed (1/8″). 4. Check if cover has enough bleed for wrapping (0.75″). 5. Check if barcode has been placed into the layout. 6. Check if barcode is single one color black. 7. Check if the manufacture location (Printed in China) has been inserted onto the layout. 8. Included are trim/crop marks, center marks, and page info.
Print-ready means your file is at the correct size and resolution of the intended output. When you have more than one image, they are layed out together in one file. Otherwise, we can set up the file(s) for you. How do I provide a file or image? Upload your digital images to our site; bring in images on a memory key, memory card, or disk; or bring in your prints, negatives or transparencies. How do I upload an image? Go to the File Upload page, click on Choose File, fill in the form (check it over once more), and click Upload File. Remember to wait for the confirmation page to appear. How long should I allow for prints? Allow 2-3 days for most prints. Academic posters generally are a day. Allow more time for added finishing such as laminating and mounting. Canvases stretched are about 8-10 working days. Can you print my wedding invitations/business cards/brochures? We are a wide-format printer only, which generally means larger prints and smaller runs. We print at sizes from 12 inches.
