What does prodromal mean?
In medicine, a prodrome is an early symptom (or set of symptoms) that might indicate the start of a disease before specific symptoms occur. In schizophrenia and other chronic psychotic disorders, the Prodromal Phase encompasses the period of early symptoms or changes in functioning which precede psychosis – in some cases these symptoms may be obvious, in others they may be more difficult to detect.
