What does quantity mean?
Quantity is derived from the Middle English word quantite, also from the Old French, and the Latin word quantit s, quantit t-, from quantus, which means “how great”. It is basically a property that is found to exist either as a magnitude or multitude. These properties generally help in distinguishing between continuity (continuum) and discontinuity.
