What does Rampage offer with regard to automation?
Rampage pioneered the concept of extending the capabilities of a RIP in order to automate prepress production. Today’s de facto workflow standards, such as late binding, in-RIP trapping, and integrated preflight were part of Rampage from day one. Today, we can take a much broader view of automation thanks to the enabling powers of the Internet and the collaborative efforts of the CIP4 organization and the resulting JDF standard. These forces extend the reach of Rampage beyond the walls of your Prep department, moving downstream with features such as inkzone calculation and the INKdrop option and upstream (and outward) with products such as Rampage Remote. This reach is complemented by the ability to share relevant data via JDF/XML with other systems related to business, color, and production.
