What does Stanford mean by intellectual vitality?

its asking for you to write something that makes you stand out, something that makes you "special". for example, one of my friends got into stanford last year and what he wrote about was when he created a small company in grade 10 and made 1000 dollars in like 2 months. i mean, that's "intellectually engaging" because he wants to go into business, and he had the initiative, the drive, and did something extraordinary at such a young age.  more
