What does starboard, port, bow, and aft mean?
Starboard, port, bow, and aft are nautical terms that are used by cruise lines to describe the location of various onboard locations, such as the staterooms. Starboard refers to the right side of the ship, when facing forward. Port refers to the left side of the ship, when facing forward. Bow refers to the front of the ship. Aft refers to the rear the ship.
