What does the Abhayang Snan consists?
Ans: Abhayang both consists of Amala and Chandan. Amla should first be boiled and then strained. According to the season, the correct attar (Scent) should be mixed with the amla water. This mixer is served with fuel. Then a little amount of barras should be mixed with kesari chandan (Orange chandan) and Thakorji takes a bath in this mixture. Only on Ramnavami and Janmashtmi Thakorji takes a bath with gulabjal (Rose water). That mixture should be pure. If the festival falls on a Sunday or a Tuesday, then white chandan replaces amla, and fuel cannot be served. Also after taking Abhayang Bath with white chandan, kesari chandan is served and then Thakorji takes a bath with warm water.
