What does the “Birth of New Moon” mean?
Moon goes around the earth in about 29.5 days. During this cycle there is a moment when moon comes in line with the sun and earth. This moment is called “New Moon Birth”. At this moment the sunlight falling on the moon cannot come to the earth, and the moon face to the earth is completely dark. In other words new moon is “No Moon”. No one can see this “New Moon” even by most powerful telescopes. 1.2 Question: Why not adopt CONJUNCTION as the basis for starting the month?
