What does the cancer survival rate mean?
Every day in Florida, on average, about 300 new cases of cancer are diagnosed. Every day, more than 100 people die from cancer. On Sunday, Florida’s cancer survivors will join more than 11 million survivors nationwide to observe National Cancer Survivors Day®. The observation was created to celebrate life and demonstrate that it can be meaningful and productive after a cancer diagnosis. Anyone living with a history of cancer – from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life – is a cancer survivor. We can help make you a survivor, too.
