What does the CNUPs admissions committee look for in the applications to the graduate training program?
A. Five variables are considered in the initial evaluation. By far the most important is prior research experience; we generally do not consider an applicant who has not yet spent some time in a research laboratory. Also important are letters of reference (especially from a research mentor), statement of goals, courses and grades (especially in natural sciences), and GREs. Promising applicants currently residing in North America are invited for an interview on campus. Those applicants residing outside of North America may be selected for telephone interviews.
