What does the MCAT exam consist of?
The MCAT exam is an intense, four-hour, on-line exam. It consists of three sections; biological sciences, physical sciences and verbal reasoning scored numerically, the highest score possible a 15. There is a separate writing section that is scored with letter grades, the highest letter possible being a T and the lowest an L. The MCAT has moved to an online format for 2007 with twenty two test dates throughout the year. www.aamc.
