What does the Notification Increment preference do?
The Notification Increment preference is the interval at which you receive message updates. Generally, the lower the increment, the more messages you will receive throughout the course of the day, and the sooner you’ll be notified of new items matching your search terms. Lower increments are only available for paid subscriptions, and get as low as 10 Minutes for the GOLD subscription level. Keep in mind, there is a maximum number of messages you can receive daily, so setting the increment very low combined with extending the hours you are notified may result in reaching the limit; In which case there is no penalty, you just simply stop receiving notifications.
