What does the Primary Care Trust Board do?
We spend tax-payers’ money – your money – on NHS services. The Board is there to make sure we spend this money responsibly and make decisions in an open and accountable way. This includes holding Trust Board meetings, in public. You can come to our meetings to watch us making decisions about local health services. A full list of dates for the Primary Care Trust Board meetings for the financial year are available. You are welcome to come along to see us making decisions about local health services. The Minutes of our Trust Board meetings will be made available once they are approved. The Board is supported by the Professional Executive Committee in making decisions about local health services. Representatives of local family doctors, nurses and other people who look after patients sit on the Professional Executive Committee.
