What does the saying, “Lamb to the slaughter” mean?
That phrase comes from the Bible, in the old covenant which you can read about in the old testament a lamb was sacrificed to cover our sins, its gentle and accepted its role in life, in the NT Jesus came as a Lamb and gave his life on the cross and now we need no more sacrifice, His sacrifice was of perfect blood, because Jesus was without sin, an animal is not perfect.
