What does the Status message in the library catalog mean?

When viewing a non-electronic item (such as a book or DVD) in our catalog, you are given information about the items availability: Available On the shelf Billed Item lost; patron has been billed. Missing / Clms Retd Patron claims the item has been returned, but it has not been located in the library. Lib Use Only Item set aside for a class at the request of a professor. At the end of the semester most of these items go back to Available status and can be checked out again.
