What does the Sun teach us about properties of matter?
S. Basu (Yale University) Helioseismology has proved to be an extremely powerful tool to study the structure and dynamics of the Sun. This technique also allows the Sun to be used as a laboratory to study the properties of matter. In this talk I shall discuss how we use helioseismology to study properties of matter, and what we have learned so far. In particular, I shall concentrate on neutrinos and stellar equations of state.
