Many genes have more than one transcript due to alternative splicing. We refer to the various transcripts (splice variants) for a particular gene as transcript variants. After a search on Gene Globe, a link will be displayed for the main QuantiTect Primer Assay, which can simultaneously detect all transcript variants. Below this link, there will be another link to QuantiTect Primers Assays for specific transcript variants (if available).
