What effect, if any, does NaOH have on the analyzer?

If the NaOH solution entered the analyzer, then there would be damage. We would recommend an inline drop out trap followed by an inline hydrophobic filter. The first would protect from liquid and the second would protect from fine droplets which should be OK. However, if there’s any liquid NaOH about in the gas circuit, there will be no measurable CO2. Also note, soda-lime is a mix of sodium and calcium hydroxides.
