Well there is a leadership crisis (the Dumbya Coup) that lead to the lack of appropriate energy technology. Maybe there is no long term tech fix for energy as posited in The Long Emergency, but why shouldn’t we at least try.

Well I don`t think we are running out of oil I just think we are running out of cheap oil. Republicans gave our industrial might to China and now they need the oil it takes to run our industrial might.

Everyone is pushing their own agenda as to if – when – and why – about an energy crisis. We heard this same conversation way back in the sixties. I think we need a hand-picked energy evaluation team to separate fact from fiction – completely independent and not affiliated to any one group, party, or agenda.
