What English band were they referencing with the violinist?
I saw a message board on the Silent Ballet site where someone was talking about a band called “Yndi Halda”. I’ve never heard of them. It was interesting to check them out and see what people thought we were influenced by. The only similarity I saw besides the length of their songs was that they have a violinist. I’d say that’s about it. But I’m guessing that the comparison was made by someone who hasn’t picked up our album. They’re probably not aware of the significance of the film work that I do. Who do you think is the most overrated instrumental band? And underrated? I’d rather not rag on another band, but I think that there’s tons of great instrumental music being made at the moment. So in terms of underrated bands, well, I’d simply suggest people keep their eyes and ears open for acts like us that are below the radar. Where do you see J23 going next?
