What evidence did Charles Darwin use to support his theory of Evolution?

Mickel Ross

Charles Darwin the famous scientist visited Galapagos islands during his voyage around the world in 1831.He did study on the giant tortoise and the finches at the islands.

He found that there was difference in  the appearance of these animal species as per the habitat the lived in.Tortoise had saddle back shell to reach the gras at more height whereas other tortoise had round shape shell who livedin the habitat with grass at low height. Similar results were forund with finches. You can read more about Darwins research on :

Depending on this Charles Darwin proposed the most revolutionary theory science has ever seen “The Theory of Evolution

Darwin used mostly observational data that he gathered during his travels around the world. He did much less experimentation than he ought to have. He did not attempt to set up any experiments in which his theory could be proved or disproved. In other words, he failed to use scientific methodology in reaching his conclusions. He used extrapolation to get from one thought to the next. Sorry Samantha Su, but there has not been only support for this theory. Many have voiced their credible concerns over its varied assumptions. No established experiments have been done that clearly demonstrate that any of its concepts actually work as stated. The biggest work accomplished thus far: brainwashing entire generations via public school science classrooms where it has become mandatory to teach this as a foregone fact of life. It now permeates our entire society, from top to bottom. Companies now must “evolve” and not remain static in nature. Societies likewise must “evolve” and not remain static.

It depends on what you need this information for. If you’re writing a paper about Darwin’s findings alone, my understanding is that Charles Darwin’s majority of Darwin’s support came from what he found on the islands. If you’re wondering about proof of evolution in general, then you’ve got to look a lot further than Darwin. Often people denote evolution as just a “theory.” But in the scientific world, a theory is supported by an overwhelming amount of information and supporting evidence. Since Darwin published his papers on his theory of evolution by natural selection, there has been nothing but support for his theory.
