What exactly does a computer programmer do?
i know a computer programmer and i can program pascal and basic so i shall outline if for you, yes there are codes to be remembered, but once you start writing them it comes very naturally and isn’t very hard, presides you can use a reference manual with it all writen if you want to for things, and you will proberly be working 9-5 kind of hours, allthough a lot of programmers take work home with them or do over time if they want to get something done or they are behind on a program.
I have been working as a programmer for about 1.5 years for applications used in pharmacuetical industery. Before I get this job, it was a dream of mine to work as a software developer, but after I started working, I changed my mind and now I don’t really love programming, there are allways deadlines and lots of presure to finish the projects and also low salary. It is not even good for your health, 8 or 9 hours a day you sit in front of a stupit computer and code or debug.. You don’t talk in this job, even most of the times you message to anybody you need to talk to. (using msn messenger or sth like that) or you email. Believe me, now my dream is to have a nice coffee shop, where you can see people, talk to them, move your body, have no deadline, have less responsibility and … I believe programming is not a lifetime job, however there might be developers who deeply love to code forever. I love to code, even if I open my coffeeshop, I will still code, but only for fun and creating sm
a computer programer designs specific programs for his/her employer to do specified tasks. In other words company’s hire the programmer and tell him/her what they want there computer to do and the programmer writes the programm to tell the computer what to do……and yes there is a lot of code writting……I hope this helps…….
