What exactly does cabinet refacing involve?

Cabinet refacing does not involve tearing out and replacing entire cabinets, but it does result in a complete make-over of every visible part of your cabinets. The sides and rails are sanded down and covered with veneer or 1/4″ plywood, stained to match your new fronts. The old cabinet doors are removed and discarded, and replaced with solid-wood doors and drawer fronts that have been custom-built for your kitchen to within 1/8″. Our doors are pre-drilled for use with state-of-the-art European-style (self-closing) hinges. We provide new valances in either straight or scrolled styles. Finally, you will install trim and toe-kick to complete the look of your new kitchen.
