What exactly is that cracking noise when someone gets manipulated by a chiropractor?
The chiropractor will find the joint(s) that are not moving correctly in your spine and then uses a gentle manipulation to restore normal joint motion. That noise is simply the shound the pressure being released from a joint that is being moved. Although, many of our patients don’t create a popping sound and that doesn’t determine the effectiveness of the treatment. In fact, others prefer us to provide techniques that don’t elicit this noise. We at Fall Creek Chiropractic want to provide you relief, but can alter our treatment techniques to make the patient more comfortable, yet still being effective.
