The Commissioner may consider several factors. Examples include, but are not limited to, • Achieving and maintaining Board Certification. • Having and maintaining a current active and unrestricted license to practice medicine or osteopathy in Tennessee; • Having and maintaining the required malpractice insurance; • Proof of completion of an accepted course regarding the application of the relevant edition of the AMA Guides: • Geographical needs of the Department; • Misrepresentation on the application for appointment to the Registry; • Acceptance of the Department's established MIR fee; • Ability to effectively convey and substantiate medical opinions and conclusions concerning impairment ratings; • Quality and timeliness of reports; • Complaints from parties about the conduct of the physician; • Disciplinary proceedings or actions; • Failure to report prior involvement or conflicts of interest in case assignments; • Any other reason for the good of the Registry, as determined by the ...
