What fieldwork sites offer stipends to students?
While the Field Instruction Program strongly encourages fieldwork sites to provide stipends, the fieldwork sites that do offer them vary and the decision to offer a stipend is entirely up to the fieldwork site. Stipend amounts vary and are usually quite small. Sometimes fieldwork sites offer stipends depending upon the amount of time the student can give to the fieldwork site, or to make the placement more attractive to students. Students can identify the fieldwork sites that offer stipends through the field placement request application process, and discuss stipend availability at their placement interviews or with an OFI Field Educator/Field Liaison.
