All kinds of food, because Sao Paulo is a melting pot. There are large populations of people of Portuguese, Italian, African, Spanish, Japanese, and Lebanese descent, as well as people of German, Polish, Ukrainian, and Native American backgrounds, so you get all kinds of food. The Brazilian national dish is feijoada, which is a delicious black bean stew. Other foods you often find in Sao Paulo include Virada Paulista (rice beans and banana, with meat), Tutu a Mineira (another bean dish served with meat, from Minas Gerais state, very good), Pao de Queijo (cheese bread), Churrasca (barbecued and roasted meats), and every type of Italian, Japanese, Lebanese, and African-inspired food. You can also get great seafood, since the port of Santos is not that far away, and very good beef, since Brazil has great cattle stock. Enjoy!  more
