What happened to all the hype about MSG and how bad it is?
I took heed of the ‘hype’ and made every effort to eliminate MSG from the family diet. It is almost impossible if you use prepared food of any kind. It is in virtually everything from canned soup to frozen vegetables. We eat more fresh food than commercially prepared food, so it is not the concern it used to be. Things like meat tenderizer and seasoned salt are full of it. If you want some really good information about MSG and other food additives, there is a book called “The Slow Poisoning of America” that is published in Canada (the writers could not get an American publisher to print it!) that is a real eye-opener about the things we eat and how they affect our health in general.
