I don’t think AI is dead; I think it has simply moved beyond the ‘buzzword’ stage. Some places where AI is actively used are in gaming, robotics, speech/text recognition, and lots of intelligence analysis software. My semi-educated guess is that as technology has become much more commonplace, many see the term ‘AI’ itself as a bit quaint, relevant mostly in Hollywood.
