What happened to the Rob Zombie script for Crow: 2037?

This project was scraped over 4 years ago. It was to be directed and written by Rob Zombie. It was decided that the story would be better served as a stand-alone project, not part of THE CROW world. Pressman still has the script and plans to some day bring it to life, but as stated, NOT as a Crow film. Zombie does have a horror movie he directed and penned the script for entitled House of 1000 Corpses. It has had trouble finding a distributor. He recently announced that a R rating had finally been achieved for the film and we should see it mid 2002. Go to the official website for more information and to see the trailer.
