What happened to Yarael Poof [the Jedi from the Jedi Council in The Phantom Menace] who resembled the Kaminoans?
In the comic Zam Wesell, Yarael Poof dies saving Coruscant from destruction at the hands of Annoo-Dat General Ashaar Khorda’s and his group. Using the Force to destroy an ancient relic known as the Infant of Shaa that could have annihilated the galaxy’s capital, Poof successfully prevents the death of billions but ultimately perishes in the effort. As for the reasoning behind the elimination of Yarael Poof, Rob Coleman gives an explanation in Homing Beacon #67. He states: <<"If you think back to the original Jedi Council there was a long-necked Jedi on the far side -- Yarael Poof -- he was a puppet. George was afraid that if we kept that guy in, people might confuse him with the Kaminoans.".>> Yaddle, according to the UK’s Visual Companion, is dead. -As mentioned in #8, her death takes place in Jedi Quest #6: The Shadow Trap.
