What happens if a child breaks the rules?
Offshore only – we have a 3 stage system: first a warning will be given; then the child will have to sit out for 5 minutes (a time out); then finally they will be taken to their parent/guardian in church where they have to explain to them what they have done. We try to use positive reinforcement as much as possible, and use a ‘punishment’ as little as possible. Serious misbehaviour however will be dealt with firmly and we will always let a parent know if this has happened.
