What happens if a driver of a fleet vehicle is caught running a red light?

0

If a driver of a school bus, company truck or other type of fleet vehicle is caught running a red light a notice is sent to the registered owner of the vehicle. The registered owner is responsible for responding to the penalty assessment notice. The registered owner may provide proof to the Municipal Court that he or she was not the driver or may wish to have the driver pay any fine. Neither the Colorado Springs Police Department nor the Municipal Court will require the registered owner to identify the driver. However, the registered owner may volunteer the name of the driver. The Colorado Springs Police Department may conduct investigations to identify drivers who should be held responsible for red light running caught by the Focus on Safety system.
