If payment does not reach American Express by the date your next statement is issued your account will be considered overdue. American Express is entitled to charge Liquidated Damages (Late Payment Fees) on any part of the unpaid previous balance, which is not paid. Liquidated Damages are charged at a rate of 3% or $10, whichever is greater. Please refer to your Cardmember Terms & Conditions, which will be sent with your card, for further details. You, as the cardmember, are responsible and liable for any Liquidated Damages incurred.
