If your payment is not received fifteen days from the date of premium notice, a failure to pay notice will be sent to you. This notice will say you have 20 days to pay the premium or coverage may be terminated. If you still do not pay, a Notice of Case Action will be mailed advising that your payment has not been received and giving you hearing rights. If your family income is more than 225% of the federal poverty level, your case will be closed and your children will be ineligible for coverage for 6 months. If your family income is less than 225% of the federal poverty level, your children will not be covered until you pay the premium.
