What happens if my own wheeled bin that I have paid for goes missing/is stolen, is damaged or the lid comes off / goes missing?
The council and its contractors are not responsible for the maintenance, loss or wear and tear of any private bin. If the bin when tipping falls into the back of the refuse truck or is actually damaged by the collection crew we will replace it. The collection crew will normally inform us if this is the case.
