What happens if Pure Power freezes?
Freezing Pure Power will not harm the bacteria, as they are in what is called a “spore form”, meaning they are inactive and stable. The reproduction rate of the bacteria contained in Pure Power slows considerably at temperatures below 40 F, but the decomposition of waste and the resultant noxious odors also slows considerably, thereby maintaining a balance in the holding tank. Avoid freezing Pure Power whenever possible. We have encountered an increasing number of campgrounds and RV parks that do not allow guests to dump their holding tanks if they are using a formaldehyde-based product. Can we dump our tanks in these facilities if we are using Pure Power? You most certainly may! In fact, you should charge the park or campground a fee for contributing to the maintenance of their on-site septic system. We don’t mean that literally, but any park or campground manager will appreciate the fact that you are using a product that will have a positive impact on their increasingly abused septic
